Hastings County’s Community and Human Services department is gradually resuming in-person services to the public by appointment only in a limited capacity, beginning on September 8, 2020.
The Community and Human Services staff are committed to the ongoing health and safety of our employees, customers and community partner agencies. We continue to promote and encourage access to our services electronically and/or by telephone. Understanding that urgent matters may arise, your Caseworker will be able to schedule an in-person appointment when necessary starting September 8th, 2020. As a standard, in-person visits will be considered for urgent reasons only, that telephone or electronic means can’t address.

Ontario Works provides employment and financial assistance to help you become financially independent and to improve quality of life for you and your family. If you qualify for financial assistance you must participate in employment related activities unless you are unable due to a serious medical condition or you are required to provide care to family members.
