This Experiential Tourism Development Training is a two day immersive learning program designed for rural tourism. This training combines the elements of best practice, community development and experiential travel development for a hands-on learning experience. This retreat is for tourism operators to learn together, share their stories, be inspired to collaborate and create new, enhanced tourism experiences across the region.

Program Dates: April 27 + 28, 2020
Location: Parks Creek Retreat in Tyendinaga Township

Costs: Participants are required to cover the costs to/from the Program. All other projects costs, including
accommodations and meals will be covered by Hastings County.

This is a competitive process and an evaluation of applications will take place to determine the most
suitable candidates to achieve the objectives of the program. All applicants will be contacted when final
decisions have been made on participants. The program will accept a maximum of 10 participants.

The application period will be open until March 6th, the selection period will take place between March 9 and March 20, and applicants selected to attend the training will be notified on March 25 (including those who are on the waitlist).
