111 Millennium Pky - Belleville

One of two Belleville bases is located at 111 Millennium Parkway (00 Station). This base is also where the H-Q EMS managerial and administrative staff can be found and where shift scheduling, training and human resource tasks are accomplished. The senior leadership team of Doug Socha (Director / Chief ), Doug Ferkol (Quality and Development / Deputy Chief) and John O'Donnell (Operations / Deputy Chief) ensure that the Department of Emergency Services runs effectively and efficiently. They are also assisted by Supervisors, Paramedic Team Leaders , and a first-rate administrative and logistics support team.

1 Ambulance staffed 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday (holidays excepted).
** This vehicle books on and off in Belleville, but is assigned to the Tweed Post for the majority of the 12 hour shift.
38 Farley Ave. - Belleville
The second base in Belleville is located at 38 Farley Avenue. The locations of the two Belleville bases are such as to provide optimal coverage for the area and to ensure rapid response times.

25 Frankford Cres. - Trenton
The ambulance base for the Quinte-West region is situated at 25 Frankford Crescent in Trenton.

244 St. Lawrence St. - Madoc
Madoc’s base is located behind the Centre Hastings Fire Hall at 244 St. Lawrence Street. This location also has a helipad which is used for the transportation of critical patients via air ambulance.

33B Chemaushgon St. - Bancroft
The most northern areas of Hastings County receive land ambulance coverage from the Bancroft Ambulance Base. This base is located at 33B Chemaushgon St.

12 MacSteven Drive - Picton

Hastings-Quinte EMS also provides land ambulance services to The County of Prince Edward. In autumn 2006 a new base was opened at 12 MacSteven Drive in Picton.

Hastings-Quinte Emergency Medical Services is a progressive team of well qualified professionals committed to achieving and delivering the highest medical standards. By responding to emergencies in a coordinated and efficient manner, the people of Hastings Quinte Region can be confident in the quality of patient care provided.
To accomplish this, the service employs both Primary Care Paramedics (PCPs) and Advanced Care Paramedics (ACPs). At a minimum, all ambulances are staffed with 2 qualified PCPs. When available, ambulances are staffed with 1 qualified PCP and 1 qualified ACP.
The service is committed to obtaining a full-time staffing complement that will allow each vehicle to be staffed with 1 PCP and 1 ACP.
Hastings County now provides direct ambulance service from six separate Hastings-Quinte EMS base locations; Madoc, Picton, Bancroft and Quinte West (Trenton) and two bases in Belleville, as well as a post in Tweed. When Ambulances are at a base, the Service Committment also specifies that Paramedics will be responding to emergency calls within 2 minutes of being notified.
