Nick January: GIS Coordinator Nick has been with the County since 2006 and has previously worked for municipal, provincial and federal mapping agencies. When not engaged in his daily duties as the County's GIS Coordinator, Nick actively promotes GIS technology in wildlife conservation efforts overseas.

Nathan Bruce: GIS Technician Nathan began working for the County of Hastings in 2004 after graduating from Ryerson University with a B.A. in Geographic Analysis.

The Planning and Development Department regularly employs university and college students to assist with GIS projects and data management during the summer months. There may be a position available within the GIS Section for seasonal staff for the summer months of 2013.
The Planning and Development Department has, in the past, collaborated with college and university GIS students on an individual and group basis. To date GIS staff have worked with Fleming College Geomatics students in developing a customized cemetery GIS application, a Disaster Response GIS application, and with Ryerson University on a custom planning extension for ArcGIS.
