The Widows’ Sons Masonic Riding Association is hosting a fundraising event in support of Prostate & Bladder Cancer treatment in the area. We all know someone who has been touched by this horrible disease.  In the Quinte region, we are so fortunate to have Dr. E. Woods helping to combat this disease, and they want to make sure he has the tools to do the job.

They will be hosting a Blessing of the Bikes June 22nd, 2024 at 11:30 am at The Iron Rooster Restaurant and Grill at 104221 Hwy 7 Marmora in support of this very worthwhile cause. They invite riders and non-riders alike to join for a short service and the blessing of the bikes, which is an annual tradition in which riders of motorcycles are blessed by a reverend in the hope that it will bring safety for the upcoming riding season. Think of it as insurance from On High. After the blessing they will gather for a few laughs and some fellowship. There will be a 50/50 draw to see who is blessed with the cash, raffles and games of chance to provide opportunities to count your blessings. As well the Iron Rooster will be providing a limited food menu from which a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the event.

They will be donating all funds raised to be directed through the TMH Foundation to the QHC Cystoscopy program within the urology department at TMH to help with the detection and treatment of this disease.
